WGA shares perspectives on sustainable agriculture with the House Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture

In correspondence with the House Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture, the Western Governors’ Association submitted several policy resolutions to be reviewed as part of the committee’s hearing, ‘Sustainability in the Livestock Sector: Environmental Gain and Economic Viability.’ The letter of Feb. 1, signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury, shared perspectives on western rangeland management, invasive annual grasses and opportunities to promote cohesive cross-boundary land management efforts across public and private lands. “Western Governors support sound forest and rangeland management policies that maintain and promote ecologic, economic and social balance and sustainability.” Read, download the letter to see the full list of policy recommendations.
