The Western Governors’ Association shared policies regarding public lands and energy development with the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Natural Resources in advance of the hearing “Public Lands Renewable Energy Development Act of 2019.”

“Western Governors support clear and coordinated permitting processes to promote the responsible and efficient development” of western resources, states the letter signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury.

The July 24, 2019 outreach to Chairman Alan Lowenthal and Ranking Member Paul Gosar included WGA Policy Resolutions 2018-04, Energy in the West and 2017-02, States’ Share of Royalties and Leasing Revenues from Federal Lands and Minerals and States’ Role in Associated Federal Policy, as well as previous outreach to Congressional leadership.
