WGA submits policy recommendations regarding hunting, fishing, and recreation on federal lands

In correspondence with the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands, the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) submitted policy recommendations following the Subcommittee’s field hearing, titled, Improving Access and Opportunities for Hunting, Fishing, and Outdoor Recreation on America’s Federal Lands. The letter of May 15, 2024, signed by WGA’s executive director, Jack Waldorf, recommends, “management strategies to facilitate increased recreation on public lands, and … supports the education of new participants while also emphasizing the importance of retaining the existing community of hunters and anglers.” Read the full correspondence for further details.
