WGA articulates Governors’ policy on workforce development with Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions

The Western Governors' Association has shared the Governors’ policy work on enhancing career opportunities for students, graduates and displaced workers with leadership of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions. In the outreach of April 7, 2021, WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury shared the WGA Policy Resolution, Workforce Development in the Western United States, and the Special Report for the Western Governors’ Workforce Development Initiative with Committee Chair Patty Murray and Ranking Member Richard Burr. Ogsbury asked the leaders to consider the documents, "as they articulate Western Governors’ policy positions" in advance of the "Committee’s bipartisan discussions to support, update and expand workforce training programs and to support and expand the National Apprenticeship Act."
