Western Governors share policy with Senate Subcommittee in support of the REGROW Act

The Western Governors’ Association (WGA) shared the Policy Resolution, Energy in the West, along with recent advocacy in support of legislation to support states’ cleanup activities on abandoned and orphaned oil and gas wells, with the Senate Subcommittee on Public Lands, Forests and Mining. The outreach, sent in regard to the Subcommittee’s legislative hearing for S. 1076, the REGROW Act, asserted that the legislation "would help amplify state and tribal efforts to conduct oil and gas well cleanup activities and promote high-paying jobs across the West." The letter of June 16, 2021 was signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury. Read, download letter
