Western Governors praise Congressional action on broadband access, call for increased internet speeds

The Western Governors praised recent efforts by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce to address issues of broadband access, particularly the introduction of the Community Broadband Mapping Act. Brad Little, and Vice-Chair, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, urged the committee to adopt “a higher, scalable definition of broadband that more accurately reflects modern innovations,” as well as “flexibility within the Federal Communications Commission’s E- Rate Program to deliver home connectivity solutions for unserved and underserved students.” Read, download the letter.
