The Western Governors’ Association shared policies regarding public lands and energy development with the House Committee on Natural Resources Subcommittee on Energy and Natural Resources in advance of the July 25, 2019 hearing “Public Lands Renewable Energy Development Act of 2019.” The outreach to Chairman Alan Lowenthal and Ranking Member Paul Gosar included WGA Policy Resolutions 2018-04, Energy in the West and 2017-02, States’ Share of Royalties and Leasing Revenues from Federal Lands and Minerals and States’ Role in Associated Federal Policy, as well as previous outreach to Congressional leadership.
