The Western Governors’ Association congratulates President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on their election and inauguration. In outreach of Feb. 9, 2021 the Western Governors "encourage a close and productive working relationship between Governors and federal agencies." The letter signed by WGA Chair Oregon Gov. Kate Brown and Vice Chair Idaho Gov. Brad Little also asserted that "Western states are eager to work closely with you as authentic partners in the design and execution of programs and policies that affect our shared constituents and implicate state authority."
