Comments: WGA seeks additional input on Report of the West-wide Energy Corridors Regional Review

Energy corridors have significant effects on state and regional energy, infrastructure, and land use planning across the West, so the Western Governors’ Association appreciates the opportunity to provide comments on the draft Regions 4, 5 and 6 Report of the West-wide Energy Corridors Regional Review. While the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and U.S. Forest Service (USFS) have designed these interagency operating procedures to promote consistent land management practices across multiple jurisdictions, WGA requests in the outreach of Jan. 28, 2021 signed by Executive Director Jim Ogsbury that the agencies consult with Western Governors and states regarding the final details prior to their formal incorporation into BLM or USFS land use plans, guidance, manuals, or handbooks.
