LETTER: Governors share policy for House hearing on Implementation of Farm Bill Conservation Programs

Western Governors shared relevant policy for a Jan. 28, 2020 hearing by the House Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry to Review Implementation of Farm Bill Conservation Programs. The outreach signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury reminds that "Programs authorized by the Conservation Title of the Farm Bill, particularly those implemented or supported by the Natural Resource Conservation Service, are critical to agricultural production and resource conservation in western states." The letter sent to Committee Chair Abigail Spanberger and Ranking Member Doug LaMalfa included WGA Policy Resolutions (Western Agriculture; National Forest and Rangeland Management) and previous comments to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
