The Western Governors’ Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the sixth annual Celebrate the West regional art competition, which challenged high school students to create two-dimensional artwork inspired by their state.
Nearly 400 works of art from the 19 WGA member states, as well as Guam, were entered in the competition sponsored by the Western Governors’ Foundation.
Isabella Tarantino from New Mexico won First Place for Beauty Draped in Gold and Crimson.
Shaw Y. Hu from Arizona won Second Place for Be Beautiful and Stay Strong!
Alain Soltys-Gray from Alaska won Third Place for Sunset at the Glacier.
