WGA submits policy recommendations on the state of rural broadband in America

In correspondence with the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) submitted policy recommendations regarding the Subcommittee’s May 10, 2024, hearing, Perspectives from the Fields: The State of Rural Broadband in America. “Western Governors urge the FCC, NTIA, USDA, and other federal agencies involved in broadband deployment to work closely with Governors and state and territorial agencies and respond to and address their needs and concerns prior to releasing large tranches of funding,” read the letter of May 8, 2024, signed by WGA executive director, Jack Waldorf.
