In correspondence with the House Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Highways and Transit, WGA submitted bipartisan policy recommendations in light of the Subcommittee’s hearing, America Builds: The Need for a Long-Term Solution for the Highway Trust Fund. The April 29, 2025, letter, signed by WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf, detailed Western Governors’ collective policy recommendations regarding transportation infrastructure. “Western Governors urge Congress to identify and dedicate diverse revenue sources to fund the HTF and provide consistent and increasing funding levels for core transportation infrastructure,” read the letter.
