The Western Governors’ Association shared its policies on water management with the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment in advance of the hearing to examine the Water Quality Protection and Job Creation Act of 2019.
“Western states are eager to serve as a resource to the Subcommittee as it examines these critical issues and seeks improvements to the Clean Water Act,” asserts the letter signed by WGA Executive Director James D. Ogsbury.
The March 5, 2019 letter includes WGA Policy Resolutions Water Resource Management in the West and Water Quality in the West and previous outreach from WGA and partners to the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers presenting recommendations that would improve permitting processes under the Clean Water Act.
