In correspondence with Becaja Caldwell, the Attorney Advisor for the Administrative Conference of the United States (ACUS), the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) shared bipartisan policy recommendations for improving collaboration among state, local, tribal, and territorial governments. Outlined in WGA Policy Resolution 2024-01, Strengthening the State-Federal Relationship, the policy recommendations include minimizing federal reporting requirements, inviting states to provide input outside of a public process and before proposals are finalized, and creating or re-establishing entities to discuss and act on issues of federalism.
