WGA shares Governors’ workforce development policy with House committee for hearing on college degree pathways

The Western Governors’ Association shared policy in support of innovative postsecondary pathways with the House Committee on Education and Labor for its hearing, Innovation to Improve Equity: Exploring High-Quality Pathways to a College Degree. Watch the hearing.

In WGA Policy Resolution 2018-13, Workforce Development in the Western United States, Western Governors note that only 20 percent of students successfully complete the traditional pathway of high school to a four-year degree program and then on to a career.

The June 19, 2019 outreach to Chairman Bobby Scott and Ranking Member Virginia Foxx details Western Governors’ recommendations to increase educational attainment and includes the Western Governors’ Workforce Development Initiative Special Report.
