WGA shares bipartisan policy recommendations to strengthen career and technical education

In correspondence with the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Subcommittee on Education and the American Family, WGA submitted bipartisan policy recommendations in light of the Subcommittee’s hearing, Building Pathways: Advancing Workforce Development in the 21st Century. The December 9, 2025, letter, signed by WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf, includes Western Governors’ bipartisan policy resolution related to workforce development. “Western Governors recognize that there are many pathways that students can take to a successful career,” reads the letter. “The resolution includes recommendations to strengthen career and technical education to help students explore their career options and develop skills they will need in the workforce.” Read the correspondence in full for further details
