The Western Governors’ Association hosted the webinar, "Moving Toward Career Readiness, on March 8, 2018 as part of the series for the Western Governors’ Workforce Development Initiative.
The webinar's focus was the need for states to prioritize college and career readiness, rather than one over the other. Panelists highlighted how these efforts are better serving students and employers in their communities with real-life examples, such as an employer utilizing the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate and industry-recognized credentials in the hiring process.
The webinar was moderated by Jennifer Zinth, Director of High School and STEM, Education Commission of the States.
