The Western Governors’ Association hosted the webinar, Species Distribution Modeling and Scenario Planning, on Wednesday, May 1.
The webinar highlighted a tool being designed by the U.S. Geological Survey and National Park Service to develop species distribution models for high-priority invasive plants. Panelists also reported on a research project that pairs scenario planning with quantitative modeling to explore potential effects of climate scenarios and management alternatives on rangelands in South Dakota.
This webinar is part of a series for the Western Governors’ Biosecurity and Invasive Species Initiative, the central policy initiative of WGA Chair and Hawaii Gov. David Ige. (Find previous webinars).
