New Western Governors inaugurated in American Samoa, Montana and Utah

The newest Western Governors have been inaugurated in American Samoa, Montana and Utah. They include:

American Samoa: The territory welcomes Gov. Lemanu Palepoi Sialega Mauga, who had most recently served as Lieutenant Governor. Prior to that he held leadership positions in both the American Samoa Government and the United States Armed Forces, the latter of which featured nearly 25 years combined in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army. Montana: The Treasure State’s new leader is Gov. Greg Gianforte, who was born in California but fell in love with Montana during childhood vacations in the state. While Gov. Gianforte most recently served the state in the House of Representatives, he spent many decades prior to that as a successful entrepreneur in Bozeman. Learn about his inauguration and read more about his life.

Utah: Gov. Spencer Cox will take over in the Beehive State. Prior to becoming Lieutenant Governor in 2013, the Utah native had a successful career in law and telecommunications. Along the way he became increasingly involved in public service, including time as a mayor and in the Utah House of Representatives. Learn about his inauguration and read more about his life.
