WGA calls on Congress to extend the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund beyond 2025

In comments submitted to the House Natural Resources Subcommittee on Federal Lands, the Western Governors’ Association called for the extension of the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund, as authorized by the Great American Outdoors Act, beyond 2025. The letter of April 27, signed by WGA Executive Director Jack Waldorf, also urged Congress to appropriately fund federal land management agencies to provide for the routine maintenance and operation costs of important visitor infrastructure and to find innovative ways to attract private investment for improving, modernizing, and expanding visitor facilities.
