LETTER: WGA shares infrastructure, transportation policy in advance of Senate Homeland Security hearing

The Western Governors’ Association shared policy related to infrastructure permitting and environmental review processes with the U.S. Senate Committee on Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations in advance of their May 2, 2019 hearing. The outreach to Chairman Rob Portman and Ranking Member Tom Carper included WGA policy resolutions and outreach on infrastructure, transportation, and the state-federal relationship. The Governors also reiterated their support for "more efficient infrastructure permitting and environmental review processes without shortening timelines for state input and consultation, or compromising natural resource, wildlife, environmental, or cultural values."
