LETTER: WGA advocates for flexibility in states’ response to implementing the Mobile Now Act

The Western Governors’ Association appreciates the Federal Highway Administration’s commitment to implementing the MOBILE NOW Act, especially as it ensures that states meet requirements to facilitate broadband infrastructure deployment in the right-of-way of applicable Federal-aid highway projects. "Western states structure their broadband activities and programs in a variety of ways," notes the letter signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury. "We recommend that FHWA promote flexibility in states’ response to the Act’s directives." The Sept. 10 letter, which included WGA Policy Resolution, Broadband Connectivity, was sent to Federal Highway Administration Administrator Nicole R. Nason. Read, download letter.
