LETTER: Western Governors encourage Congressional leadership to prioritize state-federal relationship

Western Governors urge Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy to retain an emphasis on and seek improvements to the state-federal relationship as the 116th Congress begins. The Jan. 9, 2019 outreach signed by WGA Chair Hawaii Gov. David Ige and WGA Vice Chair North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum emphasized the “meaningful dialog” between Western Governors and the Speaker’s Task Force on Intergovernmental Affairs and Oversight and Government Reform Subcommittee on Intergovernmental Affairs over the past two years.
