LETTER: Western Governors back EPA decision to propose revisions to Emission Standards rule

CATEGORY:
Air Quality

The Western Governors' Association expressed support for an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) decision to propose revisions to its final rule, Oil and Natural Gas Sector: Emission Standards for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources. The Governors had requested EPA consultation with states in advance of the 2016 rulemaking to avoid duplicative regulation. As that consultation did not occur, WGA notes in outreach on Oct. 25, 2018 to Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, "Western Governors therefore support EPA’s decision to review this rule."
