Western Governors have "concerns" about the lack of state consultation by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) before publication of its proposed rule, Emission Guidelines for Greenhouse Gas Emissions From Existing Electric Utility Generating Units. "As the chief elected officials of sovereignties, Western Governors expect to engage with federal officials on the formulation and execution of public policy through early, meaningful, substantive, and ongoing consultation," asserts the Oct. 10, 2018 outreach to EPA Administrator William Wehrum, which was signed by WGA Chair and Hawaii Gov.
