Education: Holds a B.S. in psychology from Bradley University, and a M.S. in therapeutic recreation from Indiana University.

Career: Laura Kelly was elected Kansas’ 48th governor in 2018. Previously, she served in the Kansas Senate from 2005-2019. Before her political career, Gov. Kelly was the executive director of the Kansas Recreation and Park Association and worked in mental health services.
