Listen: Western Governors’ Conversation: Riding into the Sunset

Humor and heartfelt gratitude were just some of the highlights of "Riding into the Sunset," the memorable governors’ conversation that concluded the WGA 2018 Winter Meeting.

Outgoing Western Governors C.L. "Butch" Otter, Matt Mead, Dennis Daugaard, Brian Sandoval and Mary Fallin reflected on lessons they learned in office and their hopes for the future of their states and the West.

Gov. Otter explained how his "great disappointment in Congress" was redeemed by the "great satisfactions I’ve had working with WGA," while Gov. Daugaard spoke of how his fellow governors have "become more than just my acquaintances, they have become my friends."

"I think this is the best job one could have. I get to walk into the office every day and make a difference in someone’s life,” said Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval. “That’s what I’m going to miss the most."

In recognition of the high quality of the conversation, WGA is making it available to listen to on our YouTube page. If you missed the conversation, here's your chance to hear what the Governors had to say. And if you were there, here's a chance to relive the entertaining give and take.
