On Day One of their Winter Meeting, Western Governors rolled out the RAPID toolkit, announced two new resolutions, offered an update on the Western Governors' Drought Forum and discussed species management. In addition, they heard keynote addresses from Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz and Interior Secretary Sally Jewell.
The Governors solemnly marked the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor to begin Day 2, after which they held a plenary session on improving services and opportunities for veterans. They closed the two-day meeting with an unscripted session on western policy moderated by Washington Post reporter Reid Wilson. Read more on our Blog.
