LETTER: WGA supports apprentice programs in advance of House apprenticeship hearing

The Western Governors’ Association shared Western Governors’ policy work related to apprenticeship programs with the House Committee on Education and Labor Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Investment in advance of the March 27, 2019 hearing on Innovations in Expanding Registered Apprenticeship Programs. The outreach to Chairman Susan Davis and Ranking Member Lloyd Smucker included the WGA Policy Resolution, Workforce Development in the Western United States, which notes the Governors “support the expansion of work-based learning programs, including registered apprenticeships.” WGA also submitted the Western Governors’ Workforce Development Initiative Special Report.
