The Western Governors’ Association shared its policies on water management with the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment in advance of a hearing to examine the Water Quality Protection and Job Creation Act of 2019. The March 5, 2019 letter includes the WGA Policy Resolutions Water Resource Management in the West and Water Quality in the West, as well as previous outreach from WGA and partners to the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with recommendations to improve permitting processes under the Clean Water Act.
