LETTER: Governors support legislation for responsible western energy development, proper compensation for states, counties

Western Governors support legislation that promotes responsible development of solar, wind and geothermal energy resources in the West – many of which are on federal lands -- and ensures states and counties are compensated for the use of local infrastructure and other services that support these projects. The Governors urge the House Committees of Agriculture and Natural Resources to "expedite consideration" of H.R. 3794, the Public Lands Renewable Energy Development Act of 2019. The Aug. 19, 2019 outreach is signed by WGA Chair North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Vice Chair Oregon Gov. Kate Brown. Read, download the letter.
