COMMENTS: Governors support federal apprenticeship investments that align with state, local efforts

Western Governors believe that "federal investments in apprenticeships should align with existing efforts to foster a coherent system with minimal duplication at the federal, state and local level.” The comments, signed by WGA Chair North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Vice Chair Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, shared on Aug. 26, 2019 with Assistant Secretary John Pallasch of the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration additionally noted their  “support for the expansion of work-based learning programs, including registered apprenticeships."
