LETTER: WGA shares support for America’s Conservation Enhancement Act

Western Governors expressed support for America’s Conservation Enhancement Act in outreach to leadership of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. The Jan. 27, 2020 letter signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury details WGA support for provisions that "establish a task force within the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to combat the spread of chronic wasting disease through direct assistance to state fish and wildlife management agencies." The letter, sent to Committee Chair John Barrasso and Ranking Member Tom Carper, also signaled WGA backing of the "establishment of a study to better understand factors that influence successful delivery of funds for fish and wildlife conservation and implementation of conservation agreements."
