Cheers star and outspoken advocate for American manufacturing and skilled labor, will offer a keynote on Friday, Dec. 1. 


Registration is now open for the WGA Winter Meeting, to be held Dec. 1-2 at the historic Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix.

WGA Chair and South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard will lead his fellow Governors in public discussions on significant western issues, including the changing face of the West, energy, and autonomous vehicles. In addition, Governor Daugaard will offer an update on his Chairman’s Initiative on Workforce Development.

John Ratzenberger, Cheers star and outspoken advocate for American manufacturing and skilled labor, will offer a keynote on Friday, Dec. 1. In addition to his successful run as Cliff Clavin on Cheers and appearances in movies such as Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Ratzenberger owns the distinction of being the only actor to voice a role in every Pixar movie, including Toy Story, Monster's Inc., and Finding Nemo.

Ratzenberger is an outspoken advocate for American manufacturing and skilled labor. He has addressed the Congressional Manufacturing Caucus with his oft-quoted speech “The Industrial Tsunami Heading Our Way,” and also has appeared before the House Small Business Committee and the Senate Commerce Committee. He created “Nuts Bolts and Thingamajigs,” a foundation that creates and funds manufacturing summer camps and scholarships nationwide.
