COMMENTS: Western Governors seek continued role with EPA on Lead and Copper Rule revisions

The Western Governors’ Association submitted comments on March 7, 2018 to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding potential long-term revisions to the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR). The comments recognize EPA’s "positive efforts in engaging with states and initiating a dialogue with Western Governors" and adds that owing to "states’ prevalent role in the regulation and protection of drinking water, the potential federalism impacts of any LCR revisions must be given adequate analysis and consideration in the development of any proposed rule."
