LETTER: WGA supports BLM proposal to revisit Waste Prevention rule

The Western Governors’ Association affirmed support of the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM) proposal to revisit its 2016 rule, “Waste Prevention, Production Subject to Royalties, and Resource Conservation” in a letter sent on February 23, 2018 to BLM Acting Director Brian Steed. The letter noted that “states currently regulate air quality and oil and gas operations” and are “uniquely qualified to assume responsibility for methane regulation.” Read, download the letter.
