LETTER: WGA encourages cooperative federalism in air quality management to Senate committee

The Western Governors’ Association shared policy on cooperative federalism in controlling, monitoring, and improving air quality with the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Clean Air and Nuclear Safety in advance of the March 5, 2019 hearing, “States’ Role in Protecting Air Quality: Principles of Cooperative Federalism.” The outreach to Chair Mike Braun and Ranking Member Sheldon Whitehouse includes WGA Policy Resolutions Air Quality and Methane Emissions Regulation and Building a Stronger State-Federal Relationship, as well as previous outreach from Western Governors.
