LETTER: Western Governors urge EPA to work with states to promote beneficial uses of Coal Combustion Residuals


Western Governors sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt regarding proposed revisions to EPA’s "Hazardous and Solid Waste Management System; Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) From Electric Utilities" on March 28, 2018. The outreach emphasized governors’ support for the revisions to align the CCR Rule with the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, as well as increased flexibility for states to manage CCRs and groundwater.
