LETTER: Western Governors request involvement with EPA to clarify scope of Clean Water Act

Western Governors urged the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in a letter on May 14, 2018 to offer states "early, meaningful, and substantive involvement with EPA throughout the development, prioritization, and implementation of any policy or rule intended to define or clarify the scope of the Clean Water Act." The outreach to Assistant Administrator David Ross of the EPA Office of Water was in response to a request for comment on whether EPA should consider clarification or revision of its previous statements regarding the CWA.
