LETTER: Western Governors request involvement in Council on Environmental Quality environmental reviews

Western Governors urged the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) to strengthen the state-federal relationship through its work to enhance and modernize federal environmental reviews in a letter to Ted Boling, Associate Director for the National Environmental Policy Act, Council on Environmental Quality. The letter sent on November 28, 2017, includes recommendations for modernizing the Environmental Review Process. It also encourages the inclusion of states in the Interagency Working Group to better satisfy the intent of Executive Order 13807, which directs CEQ to ensure optimal interagency coordination of concurrent, synchronized, timely, and efficient environmental reviews.
