LETTER: Governors seek conclusion to contract talks hobbling West Coast ports

Western Governors sent a letter on Feb. 18, 2015, requesting that representatives of the International Longshore Warehouse Union and the Pacific Maritime Association immediately conclude contract negotiations that had dragged on for some nine months.  As western states are reliant on West Coast ports for the export of goods and merchandise, the protracted negoatiation was damaging states’ industries. Read, download the Letter
