The Western Governors’ Association shared Western Governors’ policy on invasive species in advance of the Feb. 13, 2019 Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works hearing, “The Invasive Species Threat: Protecting Wildlife, Public Health, and Infrastructure.” In addition to highlighting the Chairman’s Initiative of Hawaii Gov. David Ige focused on Biosecurity and Invasive Species, WGA also submitted Policy Resolution 2016-05, Combating Invasive Species and a March 28, 2018 letter from Western Governors to the Committee encouraging federal action on invasive mussel management.
