The Western Governors’ Association shared policy related to the active management of western forests and rangelands for the Sept. 26, 2019 House subcommittee hearing "The National Forest System: Restoring our Forest Infrastructure." The outreach sent to leadership of the Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry was signed by WGA Executive Director Jim Ogsbury. It included the WGA Policy Resolution, National Forest and Rangeland Management, as well as the 2017 report on the Western Governors’ National Forest and Rangeland Management Initiative and a copy of the Shared Stewardship Memorandum of Understanding executed between WGA and the U.S, Department of Agriculture (USDA) in December 2018.
